Open up your product. Step inside a painting.

3D animation for companies in Madrid: a product from the inside, a process you can’t see, a space that doesn’t exist yet or an artwork you can step into. Idea, concept and art direction included.

In short

What does a 3D animation studio for companies in Madrid do?

A 3D animation studio for companies models, lights and animates in three dimensions what a camera can’t show: a product from the inside, an industrial process, a space that doesn’t exist yet or an artwork you can move through. Isla Studio does this in Madrid, from the first idea to the final video.

We make 3D pieces for brands, companies, museums and agencies, with motion graphics and post-production in the same team: the 3D is designed as part of the whole piece, not as a one-off job.

Why a 3D studio in Madrid

  • Seeing the real product

If what needs animating is a physical object, seeing, measuring and photographing it helps make the 3D faithful. If you’re in Madrid, we come and see it at your company, with no shipping.

  • Signing off the model together

The model, materials and lighting are approved before animation starts. That review, the one that saves the most money, can happen face to face at your office, in English.

  • From 3D to the final video

3D animation, motion graphics, compositing and sound are all done by the same team: the video comes out finished, in every format you need.

  • For agencies with the campaign in place

If you’re an agency and the 3D part is missing, we deliver it within your idea, as we did on the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza’s 25th anniversary campaign with Magán y Magán.

What we’ve animated in 3D

Two projects: a product that needed opening up and a Madrid museum that wanted people to step into its paintings.

  1. The Energizer battery enters the scene among the parts of the devices

Opening a product without breaking it

For Energizer EcoAdvanced, the idea, the concept and the 3D animation: the most power-hungry devices open up into pieces, reveal their circuitry and the battery takes centre stage. Two product promises, recycled materials and power, understood at a glance.

  2. Close-up of three figures from a Gauguin painting: two faces looking straight ahead and one figure seen from behind

    Stepping inside a painting

For the 25th anniversary of the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and for Fundación BBK: a dozen works from the collection turned into a 3D simulation that takes you inside the painting. The museum’s social media campaign passed 300,000 views.

What we need to animate your product in 3D

The better the starting point, the more faithful the 3D and the less time modelling takes. None of this is essential: whatever you don’t have, we work around.

What it’s forIf you don’t have it
3D or design files of the productWe start from the exact dimensions and shapes: modelling is faster and more faithfulWe model from photos, drawings or a sample
Technical drawings or measurementsCorrect proportions, especially for technical partsWe measure from a sample or from photos with a reference
A physical sample or detail photosMaterials, sheen, textures and small details that don’t show up in drawingsWe work from catalogue photos and adjust at the model review
Brand colours and finishesThe product shown with its real colours and finishesWe take them from the brand guidelines or from the sample itself
What viewers need to understandIt decides what opens up, what’s shown and in what orderWe work it out with you at the briefing: it’s part of the job

Frequently asked questions

How much does 3D animation cost for a company in Madrid?

It depends mainly on how much needs modelling (starting from the product files is not the same as modelling from photos), on materials and lighting, on the length and camera moves, on render time and on how many versions you need. With your brief and whatever you have of the product, we’ll prepare a proposal with the concept, the plan and a quote.

When is 3D animation better than filming or 2D?

When the important part can’t be filmed: the inside of a product, a process inside a machine, something not yet manufactured or an impossible camera move. If it can be filmed well, a shoot is usually more direct; if graphics and typography are enough, 2D motion graphics is faster. Many pieces mix all three.

Motion graphics and 2D animation

What do I need to provide to get started?

Whatever you have of the product: 3D or design files, drawings, photos or a sample, plus your brand guidelines. Above all, what viewers need to understand and where the piece will be shown. If something’s missing, we find another way: we can model from photos or from a sample.

When do I review and sign off?

At every step, before moving on to the next: the script and storyboard; the model with its materials and lighting; a simple animation pass to adjust pacing and camera; and the final animation. Approving the model before animating saves the most: changing it once it’s animated costs far more.

What do I get at the end?

The finished video in every format you need: web, social media, presentations, an event screen or a museum screen. If you want to reuse the 3D model in other pieces, tell us at the start and we’ll allow for it in the proposal.

Do you work with agencies and museums?

Yes. With agencies, we deliver the 3D part of a campaign that has already been conceived, like the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza’s 25th anniversary campaign with Magán y Magán. With museums and foundations, we turn artworks and exhibitions into pieces you can move through.

For production companies and agencies

Can we meet in person?

Yes, if you’re in Madrid: we can meet at your company, especially for the briefing and the model review, with the product in front of us. Meetings and reviews can be in English or Spanish. If you’re not in Madrid, we work by video call, and the rest of the reviews happen remotely.

The team

Do you work outside Madrid?

Yes. The model, the previews and the reviews all work well remotely, so we work the same way for clients across Spain and abroad. The only thing worth seeing up close is the product: if you’re not in Madrid, a sample sent by courier or a set of detail photos will do.

What do you want to show in 3D?

Tell us what needs showing, to whom and where it will be seen. We’ll get back to you and set up a time to talk, with the product in front of us if possible.
