Your graphics department, without the extra headcount.

Who we’ve worked with
In short
What does a graphics studio do for a production company?
A graphics and post-production studio handles the parts of a production that need design and animation: the title sequence and credits, the captions, maps, infographics and reconstructions in a documentary, 2D or 3D animation and visual effects. Isla Studio does this from Madrid, either as a commissioned job or embedded in the production team.
The team has 20 years’ experience in graphics, motion graphics, animation and post-production, and has worked with production companies such as Fremantle and agencies such as Moonbook and Magán y Magán.

Two ways to work
A self-contained part
You hand us a piece with its scope and deadline: a series’ title sequence, a documentary’s graphics, a handful of VFX shots. We make it from start to finish and deliver it ready for your edit.
Inside your team
We join the production for as long as it takes, on your schedule and in your way of working. Long-term collaborations too, project after project.
With production companies and agencies
Three jobs where we worked for another production company or agency.
01A documentary’s graphic world
For Fremantle and Amazon Studios, the inserts and graphics for the documentary Infiltrada en el Búnker: maps, press cuttings and captions that carry the narration, from the first moodboards to the final style.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work with footage shot by another production company?
Yes. It’s standard when we work for a production company: we start from their footage, their schedule and their way of working, and we make the graphics, animation or effects the piece needs, delivered ready for their edit.
Can you do just one part, like the title sequence?
Yes. We can take on a self-contained part (the title sequence, the titles and credits, a documentary’s graphics or a set of VFX shots) or join the team for the whole production, including long-term collaborations.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Some of our work can’t be shown because it’s covered by confidentiality agreements, and we never publish a piece or use it in our portfolio without the client’s permission. That’s why our portfolio shows only part of what we make.
Do you also work for agencies?
Yes. We’ve worked for agencies such as Moonbook, on the video of Iberdrola’s art collection and on pieces for Fundación Mapfre, and Magán y Magán, on the Museo Thyssen’s 25th anniversary campaign.
What do you need for a quote?
What the piece is and where it will be seen (broadcast, streaming, cinema or social), the length or number of pieces, style references, any material that already exists and the delivery date. With that, we’ll put together a proposal with scope, plan and budget.
Do you handle art direction too?
Yes, if the production needs it. We can come in at concept stage and define the piece’s graphic look, from the first moodboards and style tests onwards, or follow the art direction the project already has and work within it.
Art directionWhat’s in production?
Tell us what the piece is, who it’s for and when it’s due. We’ll get back to you and talk it through with your team.
