Iberdrola’s art collection, from four sites to one video

An art collection spread across Iberdrola’s sites and one thread to tour it: a corporate video filmed in Bilbao, Madrid, Valencia and San Agustín de Guadalix.

Sound familiar?

If any of these sound like you, this project is about you.

  1. Your organisation has a heritage, whether art, archive or architecture, that almost nobody outside its walls has seen.
  2. It’s spread across several buildings or cities and a single photo can’t tell all of it.
  3. You want people to understand what that heritage says about your organisation.
  4. And it has to look polished: like a well-guided tour, not a catalogue.

That’s where Iberdrola came in.

A collection spread across several sites

Iberdrola has an art collection built into its workspaces. It runs from Bilbao to San Agustín de Guadalix, via Madrid and Valencia, and is part of everyday life in its offices: it reflects the company’s identity and values.

The brief was to bring it together in a single audiovisual piece: a tour connecting culture, architecture and corporate values, and showing how creativity fits naturally into a working environment.

How we told it

Shot on location: works seen up close and in their space, careful lighting and simple white captions.

  1. Still from the video: an abstract work in grey paper with three black shapes, framed on a grey wall, with the caption “Arte español s. XX” (Spanish art, 20th century) on the left
01Arte español s. XX [Spanish art, 20th century]

A caption that says what you’re looking at

A sober white caption on the left of the frame places each work, so viewers know what is in front of them.

  2. Still from the video: very close detail of a painting of two women in headscarves, with the texture of the paint in view and the caption “Escuela Vasca ss. XIX-XX” (Basque school, 19th–20th centuries)

    Moving in on the brushwork

A very tight shot shows the texture of the paint, and the caption places the school and the period.

  3. Still from the video: a white sculpture of a seated figure made of letters, in a glazed lobby, with a red circular work in the background
    03

    Architecture in the same frame

A sculpture made of letters, the light from the windows and another work behind: art and building in the same take. It shows how culture and architecture connect.

  4. Still from the video: a work made of neon tubes on a wall, tinting it pink and green
    04

A different light for each work

A neon piece tints the wall pink and green with its own light. The video shifts light and colour from one work to the next.
