The flavour of the garden, in a dessert by Ricard Camarena
A chef with two Michelin stars, a dessert of anise melon and lemon, and the garden as a starting point. We told it in a filmed recipe video.

Sound familiar?
If any of these lines sounds like you, this project is about you.
- You have a top chef on board and want to show how they work.
- What you want to tell is the produce, the vegetable, before the finished dish.
- Your project has several instalments, and each recipe needs its own tone without leaving the series.
- You want the recipe to be understood from the worktable: hands, produce and just enough captions.
That’s where Fundación Mapfre came in.
The garden takes the lead
Within Practicooking, Fundación Mapfre’s recipe project, the cook is Ricard Camarena, who holds two Michelin stars. The recipe is a dessert of anise melon and lemon.
The project’s own text sums it up: the cook takes us to the vegetable garden to discover the essence of the vegetables, the true stars of his recipes.
How we told it
Warm, dark interiors to introduce the chef and, for the recipe, a wooden table, hands and produce in close-up with white captions.

01 Ralladura de Limón [Lemon zest]
The gesture of the recipe, seen from above
A top-down shot: a hand grates the lemon over paper on a wooden table, and the name of the ingredient is written in white. You see the gesture and read what it is.

02 Hands and produce, up close
The camera drops to board height and stays with the hands and the melon. The star of the shot is the produce.
