Motion graphics studio in Madrid
What’s hard to explain, in a minute.
Motion graphics and 2D animation for companies, foundations and agencies in Madrid: a process, a product, a set of figures or a campaign, told clearly. From the idea and script to the last version, in English, Spanish or both.
Who we’ve worked with
In short
What does a motion graphics studio in Madrid do?
A motion graphics studio designs and animates videos with typography, icons, illustration and data to explain a process, present a product or add punch to a campaign. Isla Studio does this in Madrid for companies, foundations and agencies: we shape the message, write the script, design the style and animate through to delivery in every format.
Almost all our pieces mix motion graphics with 2D character animation, and some with 3D or live action. It’s all done by the same team, with no templates.
Why a motion graphics studio in Madrid
The briefing, at your office
What needs saying is easier to sort out around a table than over email. If you’re in Madrid, the briefing and the key reviews can happen in person.
Thirteen pieces for Fundación Mapfre
Campaigns on road safety, saving money and using the internet well, plus videos for its exhibitions: the client with the most pieces in our portfolio is a Madrid foundation.
The script is part of the job
You don’t need to arrive with one. Deciding what to say, in what order and what to leave out makes more difference to the result than anything else.
A version for every screen
From the script stage, the piece is planned for the web, social media, a presentation or an event screen, and in whatever languages you need, English included.
Motion graphics for Madrid clients
Three projects: a brand that wanted to say thank you and two road safety campaigns for a foundation.
01Saying thank you in 45 seconds
For Mahou, a comic-style animated video, hand-drawn in the brand’s palette, that runs through its awards in several countries to say that the one that matters most is being chosen every day.

What drives the price of a motion graphics video
There’s no per-minute rate: the price comes from what happens in the piece. Here is what tends to make an animated video more expensive, and what makes it cheaper.
| Costs more | Costs less | |
|---|---|---|
| Style | Custom characters and illustration, with a lot of animation | Typography, icons and graphics, or a style the brand already has |
| Length | More animated seconds than the idea needs | What the idea needs, with no padding |
| Script | Changing the message once animation has started | Locking the script and storyboard before animating |
| Versions | Formats and languages requested at the end | Planning from the script where it will be shown and in which languages |
| Voice and music | Professional voice-over and original music | No voice-over, on-screen text and library music |
| Deadline | A very tight date that forces work to run in parallel | A clear date from the start, so we can plan backwards |
Frequently asked questions
How much does a motion graphics video cost in Madrid?
It depends on the style, the length, whether the script needs writing, the voice and music, and how many versions you need: the table above sums up what pushes the price up and what brings it down. We don’t quote per minute, because one two-minute video can cost far more than another. Send us a short brief and we’ll prepare a proposal with the approach, the plan and a quote.
How long does an animated video take?
We don’t give a fixed timeline without seeing the project: it depends on the length, the style and how many rounds are needed. What shortens it most is a clear message from the briefing; what drags it out most is changing the script once animation has started. If you have a date, such as a launch or an event in Madrid, we plan backwards from it.
What do I need to provide?
Whatever you have: a script, a document, a presentation or just the idea, plus your brand guidelines if you have them. Above all, who the video is for, what viewers should remember and where it will be shown. Shaping the message is part of our job.
When do I review and sign off?
At every stage, before moving on to the next: the script, the style and the storyboard; a rough animation pass to adjust the pacing; and the final animation. That way changes come when they’re cheap, not once everything is animated. The proposal states how many rounds each stage includes.
Can we meet in person?
Yes, if you’re in Madrid: the briefing and the key reviews can take place at your office, in English or Spanish. Everything else happens by video call or in writing, with notes on the video, so nobody has to block out an afternoon for a review.
Motion graphics or a filmed video?
Motion graphics when what you need to get across is an idea, a process or data the camera doesn’t show well, or when there’s no time or permission to film. Filming when people, places or the real product matter. Many pieces mix both: film the people and animate what can’t be seen.
Corporate video in MadridDo you work with Madrid agencies?
Yes. We animate campaigns the agency has already conceived, or come on board from the idea stage and work on the concept with you. With the Madrid agency Moonbook we’ve made pieces for Fundación Mapfre and Iberdrola.
For production companies and agenciesDo you work outside Madrid?
Yes. An animated video doesn’t need us to be in the same city, and reviews can be done remotely: we’ve made pieces for Bluenergy, an Italian energy company, and for Decathlon, which used its video in its stores in France.
What needs explaining?
Tell us what you want to say, to whom and by when. We’ll get back to you and set up a time to talk.
